You know you should't.
You know it probably isn't worth it. You'll finish the thing in no time and propably it won't be worth the cover prize.
The fact is though, that magazine fill that perfect magazine - sized gap in your desire. A Novel would be too long, or maby even to improving. But a magazine! Twenty minutes of FUN. And the delight in finding one that captures your interest - from fashion to gossip.
But the greatest pleasure of all about a new magazine is when I sit at the kitchen table, cup of tea to hand, and open up one of the few magazines I really love, feeling the glossy finish beneath my fingertips and knowing I'm in for a quarter of an hour of sheer pleasure.
