Happy is propably 3 times the size since I took this photo! How sweet is she??Our dog Happy will eat her pillow and the grass will be full of white foam, and five-minutes later you will hear me cooing about how sweet she is and giving her a tasty biscuit! Nico on the other hand, does something wrong and forgiveness doesn't come so easy. He can be in the dog house for a long time.
Why can't the unconditional love we give our pets be the same with our spouses?
"When our pets make mistakes, we don't take it personally and are quick to forgive. We give them the benefit of the doubt. Yet when our spouses does something wrong, we often react with anger and blame."
So what can pets teach us about marriage? My work personally is to work on giving Nico the same enthusiastic greeting that Happy often gets :-)
