{ A Special Card For Someone Special }
{ Inspirational Book }
Every once in a while I find a book that I know has a really important lesson for me. The Gratitude Effect by Dr. John Demartini is one of those books.
It is also one of those books which we look at the title and think; " Yes gratitude, that's an important idea. I get it. I don't need to read that book.".
These thoughts rolled through my head when I first saw it, but I picked it up because I've read other books by Dr. Demartini and have found them to be very "Profound".
I knew after a few sentences that I had to read this book. So I did. The key of this book is the method he gives to make us grateful.
After reading the book I've learned that most of us find it easy to appreciate the good things in life, but the area that needs the most attention is the things that we don't appreciate......the things that are annoying and painful - past and present.
This is one book I plan to keep around.
{ A Touching Love Story }
A girl wanted a diamond ring from her boy friend, but the boy gave her a teddy instead. In anger girl threw the bear on the road. The boy went to bring it back and was hit by the car. Boy died on the spot.
At his funeral girl hugged the teddy bear he gave her as gift in place of diamond ring, the moment she hugged the teddy bear it said: "WILL YOU MARRY ME, THE RING IS IN MY POCKET"

{ Flowers vs Hot Chocolate }
I really love fresh flowers, but I don't buy them often. I'll confess, I weigh up the cost of a bunch of flowers against how many cups of sweet delicious Hot Chocolates I can buy....and in my area, Hot Chocolate is reasonably priced and flowers are super pricey, and I really couldn't handle giving up a few days worth of Hot Choclate for the sake of Flowers.

{ Relationships }
Human relationships (and sometimes animals) not only fascinate me, they also feed an insatiable desire for me to connect with my world. I can build relationships all day long, every day. I build relationships with anyone from any walk of life.
I'm blessed to have build memorable and wonderful relationships with countless ordinary people crossing my path, from the security guard at the City Lodge Hotel in Cape Town to the barman where we stayed in Phuket without exchanging to many words. From tourists to real life friends and family. The list really goes on and on.
I simply do not get tired of building new relationships. Not only do I cherish in being in good people's company, I am always fascinated by the rewards.
Relationships give back all the time and they are an investment for your well-being and an blessing for you soul.
